It’s been so long since I wrote a beauty-related post. Over lockdown I wore barely any make-up (which I thoroughly enjoyed, I have to admit!) but since going back to work I’ve gradually resumed my routine. A few weeks ago I treated myself to some new Charlotte Tilbury products and I thought I’d share with you what I bought.
Magic Cream Light
I’ve used the original Magic Cream for years now so I was a little apprehensive about trying the new form. As the name suggests, it’s a lightweight, less rich version of its cult counterpart.
First of all, I’m a big fan of the packaging – it’s sleek, simple and hygienic. I do love the original’s fancy jar, but it can be a bit of a faff when I’m travelling or freelancing. Magic Cream Light comes with a pump bottle which is perfect for my make-up bag but still looks pretty on my bedside table.
My complexion is fairly normal but it does get dry at times, especially during the winter, so I’ve always favoured rich creams. I was pleased to find that this still left my skin plump and hydrated despite the thinner consistency. I also love the higher SPF – sun protection is so important for me in a day cream and this defends against both UVA and UVB rays.
Overall, this is a wonderful addition to my skin care routine, but as I’m on the drier side, I think I’ll be reverting back to the original Magic Cream for winter. I’ll definitly be keeping the light version for summer, however, and I’d recommend it to anyone with slightly oilier skin.
Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray
I don’t usually have any trouble with my make-up staying in place but I do like to carry a setting spray around with me to refresh my skin during the day. This is more of a mist and has a lovely cooling effect, so it’d be perfect to take on holiday. It smells amazing, too!
You can use this underneath your base as a primer as well as to set your make-up in place. It’s also fantastic for spraying onto powder eye shadows/highlighters for a super pigmented colour. I can’t wait to use it in my kit!
Magic Serum Crystal Elixir
I’ve been using this morning and night before my moisturiser and I adore how soft and supple it makes my skin feel. Enriched with Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Aloe Vera extract, Crystal Elixir nourishes the complexion and helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles/fine lines. As I’m in my late twenties now, I’m trying to incorporate more anti-ageing products into my routine and I’ve been really enjoying using this so far! I’m also in love with the beautiful bottle (although I wouldn’t expect anything less from the queen of packaging!)
Pillow Talk Beauty Light Wands
Charlotte’s Beauty Light Wands are some of my favourite products from the brand so I was really excited when she released Pillow Talk-inspired shades. I purchased both colours as I couldn’t decide which one I liked best. The original is by far my favourite of the two – it’s a beautiful nude pink that looks stunning as both a blush and a highlighter. The Medium is a peachier shade which I think will look lovely on tanned skin! The consistency and colour pay off is perfect and I love how quick easy they are to apply.
Are you a Charlotte Tilbury fan? x
