Hello!

I’m Katie, a thirty-something make-up artist from Staffordshire. I have always enjoyed writing and photography, and have blogged on and off since 2009 (!) I’ve covered just about every topic you can think of; fashion, food, relationships, travel… the list goes on!

During the 2020 COVID pandemic, I was furloughed and spent a lot of my newfound free time going on long walks, which ignited a love for nature and the outdoors. It’s a joy that’s still going strong, and I try to get outside at least once a day (usually accompanied by my 9-year-old French bulldog, Frank, or my fiancé, Oli). A few years later, I discovered the AllTrails app, and finding new routes quickly became one of my favourite hobbies.

I started KatieLeanne.com in 2019 as a creative outlet and a space to share my passion for beauty. While I still love my career in make-up, I prefer to write about simpler things these days. Here I share the walks I’ve loved, places I’ve stopped for food along the way, plus the occasional recipe and book review.
