Once again, it’s been a hot minute since I posted anything beauty related! Now winter is well and truly underway I felt it was time to switch up my routine. I recently bought a few new bits online and thought I’d share with you what I picked up.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I’ve raved about Magic Cream on my blog more than once – it’s one of my all-time favourite skin care products. I’ve been using the Magic Cream Light these past few months (which isn’t as rich), but since we’re in winter now and my skin is much drier I’ve reverted back to the original. This deserves all the rave reviews it receives – it leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated and it sits beautifully under make-up.
Charlotte Tilbury Eye Cream. This is also a repurchase. I’ve been using the CT eye cream on and off for a number of years now – I’m very lucky in that I don’t suffer too badly with dark circles, but I still notice a difference when I use this. It soothes and brightens my under eye area and makes me look so much more awake! It also helps minimise concealer creasing.
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Dry Sheet Mask. I’m a big fan of dry sheet masks! They’re so much easier and less messy to use then your average face mask. I use this CT one whenever I need a quick pick-me-up – I love how luminous it makes my skin appear. It makes you look a bit like Hannibal Lecter when you’ve got it on but it’s worth it!
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this for ages but it’s been out of stock for what seems like forever. I finally managed to pick one up online a few weeks back. I normally use the Filmstar Bronze and Glow (which is amazing!) but I fancied a change. This is gorgeous – not only does it give a lovely colour, its also true to its name and makes the skin look super smooth and flawless.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. I’ve used this on and off for years – it’s one of the only products that stops my lips cracking in the winter. I was using the Nuxe Reve de Miel balm which was amazing at first but sadly stopped working for me after a while. Eight Hour Cream is pricey but a little goes a long way and it really is amazing!
I also like to pop a little bit on my eyelids/the sides of my nose before bed to combat dryness.
Utan Coconut Facial Tanning Water. I can never be bothered to fake tan properly in winter so I picked this up after reading rave reviews. It’s a tanning water that you spray onto your face and décolletage for a healthy, sun kissed glow. I’ve used this a handful of times since I bought it and I love how easy it is to apply – no more standing around topless applying cream/mousse with a damp, slimy tanning mitt!
I’ve always figured tanning waters were fairly subtle so I was surprised that this developed pretty dark. However, it was still very even and natural looking. The only negative for me is the smell – it has that really strong, classic fake tan scent which I’m really not a fan of!
Have you been treating yourself to any beauty bits recently? x
I love a good face tanning spray! I use the Bali Body one and it’s really good. Not using it in the winter though because I’m worried it would make my face too tan compared to the rest of my body haha!
I need the CT eye cream in my life!!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! 🙂 x
